Keeping the inspiration

As you all are aware this blog is to give inspiration to dancers and dance lovers. I would love to create a culture of inspiration, share the love for the art of ballet and dance with others; struggling and succeeding alike, and give people a platform to share their passion.
I need to get more consistent with Inspiration Tuesdays which is a post, posted on a Tuesday where an inspirational dancer I love, is spoken about. In time I guess that spot will be filled not only by dancers but inspirational people in general.

I have been thinking lately that I have the time to work on my blog, brand and Instagram right at my fingertips.
I work in the city and work 5 days a week. My train commute one way is 45 minutes,  so sadly in a week I do 7 and a half hours of travelling - that's equivalent to a full days work for me.
I'm not complaining as it's a small price to pay for being settled, happy and in a good job. I also love the buzz of being in a city with so much nearby, I can't imagine working in a small town again.

So hopefully my time commuting to and from work will see me think of posts and write new ones, respond to emails and posts and think of growing my brand - this will ultimately help me get my dance studio.
There have been quite a few personal struggles recently and I have taken my eye off my goal and dream, which has led me to feeling really low, unfocused and not in a healthy mindset.

I was advised recently by my lovely husband to watch an encouraging talk a lady did for a TED conference.
She spoke about how she had a successful side business while studying yet felt alone, confused and unhappy. This was ultimately because her successful business wasn't actually a passion of hers. Once she got her mind on the right path of positive thoughts, staying focused on her goal and envisioning the goal coming to fruition she was on the road to success.
Basically to make your dream come true this is a good first step:
- Envision
- Believe
- Achieve
It's self explanatory really, you visualise that dream, nothing is stupid or unobtainable, believe it and keep your mind focused on that belief and you will achieve it!

To help anyone feel encouraged- my husband and I are in average good paying jobs but any huge thing we want - dinners out, experiences or holidays (my family live in another country so holidays abroad are more often than most) are an expense we have to really save for. Like cut back to the basics and save massive amounts! We live in a lovely little town but our home is rented, realistically we can't afford a down payment for our own home at the moment. But, in all this I have my sights set on my own dance studio and ultimately a dance school for anyone wanting to dance but with the focus at the core of helping underprivileged young people.

Nothing is impossible!
Let's start a conversation about our dreams, where we are at the moment and how you are going to take that first step. I'm starting by envisioning my goal and keeping my mind focused on that!
