Well, we lovers of Ballet Beautiful, fellow ballerina's or fans in general, were pleasantly surprised by founder of Ballet Beautiful, Mary Helen Bowers wonderful news of pregnancy number two!
I think this deserved an Inspiration Tuesday post. Exercise, health, and flexibility shouldn't be forgotten in pregnancy. Now I for one haven't had this life changing even called pregnancy just yet in my life, but there are things a lot of pregnant ladies could learn from this ballerina.
Fitness, health, rest, pampering and stretch mark oil are without a doubt things I have learnt to make sure future pregnancies of mine cover. Not only is fitness before pregnancy important but post natal fitness is just as important. *Disclaimer: always make sure your exercise regime pre or post natal is approved by a medical professional*
Another important thing is even though you will be incredibly tired with your new baby, baby can be involved in your fitness regime. Ballet fitness classes that have new mums with baby in slings are gaining popularity. I had the pleasure of having a fellow dancer join our ballet class with her beautiful baby boy. He was so peaceful and so calm throughout the class (I praise the beautiful ballet music) he fell asleep in his sling!
