Well, fellow dancers and dance lovers, I'm beginning to feel a bit like Kim Kardashian on social media - rare!
Reading through sakara.com's interview with the beautiful Mary Helen Bowers of Ballet Beautiful, I was struck with this - find a way to listen to your body. Some days you will be more hungry, some days you will need more exercise and some days you will need more sleep.
We need to find a way to listen to our body's needs before it takes drastic action. It's taken me a nightmare of a week, with the first and worst migraine I have ever had to rest and make some serious life decisions.
Lean on support and love around you, lean on your inner strength and through it all love yourself. Love yourself with whatever it needs - sleep, food, exercise, more dancing, reading, writing or sorting our your life's clutter.
