Finally, I am able to commit on a Tuesday to share some inspiration! Usually the day is too busy and I look again and it's Wednesday.
I have amazing friends who know me so well and one afternoon sharing coffee with some, a dear friend saw my Audrey Hepburn mug and told me about a documentary she had watched on this incredible woman. A few days later my husband let me know he had downloaded this Audrey Hepburn documentary that Darcey Bussell presented, excitement wasn't even the word as I snuggled up and learnt about Miss Hepburn.
She is my Inspiration Tuesday not only for being elegant and well spoken, a woman of impeccable dress sense, but she danced! She didn't have the easiest childhood during the War and the effects of malnutrition plagued her most of her life, but that's not why I will remember her forever. She did ballet and she worked hard at it and I bet you she must have looked absolutely beautiful. Her walking around on movies looked graceful and as though she were dancing in slow motion.
I want my life to be like that, I want people to think my walking is like me dancing, you can imagine the sheer joy at me having a pixie haircut a year ago and countless people all telling me how I looked so much like Audrey Hepburn.
I wonder why she chose acting over a career in Ballet but I don't for a second think it was the wrong choice, she would have been remembered and perfect as either or both. She is just my life's inspiration for so many reasons and as well as having dreams and being passionate about achieving them I think a plain soppy inspiration similar to this is just needed. The women I choose for my Inspiration posts I really admire, look up to, and just adore. This woman is no exception.
Mission: To buy each DVD of Audrey Hepburn's Classic films - seems a good short term mission to have.
Darcey even had the pleasure of having Audrey's make up artist do her make up, how he must have loved doing Audrey's make up! Instead of being jealous and hating people for where they are going or what's going on in their lives that's good we need to encourage inspiration, here is my start - Audrey Hepburn. You need to have a cappuccino or coffee and croissant on a Sunday morning, snuggled up and watch Breakfast at Tiffany's. If you don't fall in love with Audrey during that I don't know what will make you.
Share your love for Audrey, your favourite Audrey memorabilia, or just share your inspirational woman and let's get this inspiration flowing either by post or by email on: dancegrace2@gmail.com
Love to all x
