Dancing Shoes Project

I wanted to welcome all dancers and dance lovers, to my newest project. I'm still on the look out for my first charity/school/connection to start donating shoes. Of course I will keep everyone updated on the journey but if anyone knows of a group/charity/school please email: dancegrace2@gmail.com - for Admin reasons please title the email 'Dancing Shoes.' 

Here goes: 

This is a long term project where dance shoes of any type,in some cases primarily ballet shoes, can be 'bought' and given by our team to underprivileged dancers in impoverished areas both locally and internationally. These will be packaged and included will be a short message of encouragement and inspiration. These will either be given personally or sent internationally to organisations we will work together with.

Where possible a picture of the dancers with their shoes will be sent to the purchaser as a thank you and to show the impact made in the dancers lives. It will be appreciated this may not always be the case due to safety and the individual dancers personal circumstances. In those instances a message will be sent by a team member who shared in the giving, as a thank you to the buyer.

Dancing shoes will also work to offer free dance workshops to both local and international groups. The desire is to make dance and dance classes freely available to communities in need of support and to create opportunities for self progression in the dancers lives.

Classes, like the dance shoes can be 'sponsored' by a purchaser. These classes will be given to invest and work on talent and expand opportunities for the dancer.
These can be either long term or short term sponsorships. The aim is to use the duration of the sponsorship to invest in the dancer with skills to further their dance potential, to create personal growth and provide confidence to expand their dance opportunities.

Dancing Shoes and To Dance with Grace want to work with human trafficking survivors and rescue groups to give ballet shoes or dance shoes as a symbol of hope to survivors. These will be packaged and messages of hope attached and donated by our fellow dancers or sponsors who 'purchase' the shoes for this cause. 

In the 21st century this is an atrocity that we can't accept and our way of making a difference is to provide a symbol of hope from our deep rooted love for ballet and dance.The strength and inspiration that a symbol of hope can give is something To Dance with Grace wants to give to every individual.
